"Lo que resuena desde abajo", 12 de septiembre 2026

Inspirado en la historia concreta del edificio —antiguo telégrafo—, la exposición se adentrará en una reflexión sobre los oficios, herramientas y lenguajes que han quedado suspendidos entre la memoria y la desaparición. El proyecto continúa la investigación en torno a los procesos de reactivación, reparación y resignificación de saberes y materiales en desuso, entendiendo la práctica artística como una forma de traducción y de escucha de los ecos del pasado.

"What Resonates from Below," September 12, 2026

Inspired by the building's specific history—a former telegraph office—the exhibition will delve into a reflection on the trades, tools, and languages that have been suspended between memory and disappearance. The project continues the research into the processes of reactivation, repair, and reinterpretation of obsolete knowledge and materials, understanding artistic practice as a form of translation and listening to the echoes of the past.

Starting December 12, 2025. “True power is not exercised with shouts or whips, but in subtle details, in acts that seem insignificant but which nullify other beings with impunity.” https://valenciaplaza.com/arte-museos-fotografia-valencia-comunitat-valenciana/la-biennal-de-mislata-miquel-navarro-2025-inaugura-pasados-activoscon-las-10-obras-finalistas   Onomatopoeias (The Torment of the Flies) Onomatopoeias (The Torment of the Flies) is an artistic exploration focused on the rescue and re-signification of obsolete processes and forms, decontextualized from their original function, as a strategy of symbolic resistance against urban and institutional violence. The project is articulated around Taller March , a former craft workshop space in the Carmen neighborhood of València, reactivated as a place for production and active thought. The piece is constructed from manually stretched silver threads that reprodu...

Precious damage

An ongoing project that evolved from “ (E)specular”, which was part of “variations on the map”, IVAM produces, Valencia Spain. Precious damage explores the psychological and physical impacts of cultural politics and urbanism in relation to conservation that implies expropriation. Trough a process of re- activating discarded spaces, techniques, tools and materials, processes of  political decision making are highlighted. Who decides and for what reasons, why something becomes obsolete, is  the underlying question.   Full text available on the project is available at:  https://polipapers.upv.es/index.php/aniav/issue/view/1038/397   page 35-48 Decisive Line. Mirando desde el atalaya

Looking from the Watchtower”   was born from the reactivation of a workshop that had been silent for years, threatened by urban pressure and speculative policies. There, through a slow and complex process of manually stretching fine silver, I create threads that become the basis for small sculptures. This patient work allows me to resist the accelerated and impersonal logic of industrial production. Each piece is both memory and transformation: a gesture of healing and a way of opposing the power narratives that attempt to erase spaces and experiences. “Mirando desde el Atalaya”  nace de la reactivación de un taller que llevaba años en silencio, amenazado por la presión urbanística y las políticas de especulación. Allí, a través de un proceso lento y complejo de estiramiento manual de plata fina, genero hilos que se convierten en la base de pequeñas esculturas. Ese trabajo paciente me permite resistir la lógica acelerada e impersonal de lo industrial. Cada pieza es a la...
